I am 33 Weeks Today. I am Eight Months Pregnant today. The baby could come (but will hopefully keep cooking to the end) in one month from today. However you want to put it I am getting really close to being dunzo with having baby in my tummy and having him out in my arms... OH. MY. GOSH!!!!
So, in celebration of being 8 months pregnant, Brett and I decided we needed some maternity pictures to remember our first baby's pregnancy by. So we set off to a pretty park up here in Logan and had ourselves our first photo shoot of the year. It was so nice outside and it was fun to have Brett telling me what to do as he snapped away. He is such a good sport, I sure do love that boy:) Below are some of our favorites...beware...picture overload
33 Week Update:
-I am having the worst backaches I have ever had in my life. And not only do I have them, but no matter how much I rub the certain spot that is constantly aching, it will NOT stop! Even massages don't do the trick (both Brett and professionals) Annoying? That is an understatement...more like terribly unbearable. The only relief I get is at night when I sleep.
-My wedding ring no longer is allowed on my finger during the night, because if it is, I wake up and cannot get it off for a couple of hours. That is how swollen I am getting. My hands and feet are slowly turning into marhmallows, and I've already said goodbye to my calves and ankles.
-At night, my hands and feet get incredibly sore and achy. Not sure why this is?
-Getting into the car is starting to get a tad difficult. I have to hold my breath while getting in the car because if I don't, my stomach blocks my lungs from getting air while I am maneuvering in.
-Not craving hardly anything anymore, except for Apples and Diet Soda.
-We went and had an ultrasound last Monday and our baby is 5lbs and is growing like a weed. The doc says that if he stays in his little nest for full term, we will be having an 8.5lb baby! Thinking about that much weight coming out of me is enough to make me want to keep him in there forever. And the little bugger wouldn't turn around to let us see his face. All we saw was the back of his head and his little feet above his head. Still cute but I was mad at him for a minute.
-I am still wearing my regular jeans, I haven't even touched a pair of maternity pants (besides my work pants, which are basically sweats that look like slacks)...yep...pretty crazy. I don't know how I am doing it, especially when I look at the pics above and seeing how far out my tummy is now, but, I am.
-We have made our first baby purchase, which is the amazing diaper bag in the post below:) Other than that, nada.
-I am usually able to stay up until midnight these days...very nice
-I can still shave my own legs and paint my own toes....barely
-The baby is constantly making himself known by pushing against me at any chance he gets. I love seeing my tummy have random pokes coming from the inside. I am already sad that it's going to be ending here in a while.
-I am gaining the correct amount of weight, according to my doctor. He says if I go to full term, I will have gained between 28-30lbs.
-I am still a camel and drinking water all through the night
-The baby loves to push on my bladder at the worst times, and it's usually while I am at work.
-I have 2 1/2 weeks left of working, then it's time to get ready for the baby to be here:)
-Brett and I love to sit and carefully feel around my belly and feel the baby. It's way easy to feel where he's at and it's so fun. When we feel him we push a little and he squirms or he pushes back against us. He's probably sick of us.
-Brett will talk to our baby every day after I get home from work. Our routine is I come and lay on the bed and Brett lays his head on my stomach and talks to baby about what we did that day and how much we love him and can't wait to play with him. It's so fun:)
Baby, we love you! We cannot believe we are going to be seeing you in a month or so! Stay in there as long as possible so you grow strong!! Know that we love feeling you and seeing you move around and we already love you SO much and pray for you every day!! Today Daddy and I were at Walmart and we couldn't help but stop by the baby section and see all the cute little outfits and booties that we will get to dress you in. We can't wait to meet you baby:)
Love, Mommy

The aching in your extremities comes from the swelling messing with your nerves.
Have you tried any prenatal yoga? I swear by It for back pain & it can help with swelling too by just moving your body. :)
For the swelling in your feet and legs I used diabetic compression socks. They worked great, especially with the twins. I'd put them on before I got out of bed in the morning and wear them all day.
Katie!! I love your maternity pics! :) Brett's quite the photographer! Good luck on your last month of being preggo! You can do it! :)
I know what you mean about the back pain! The only relief I got was when I did prenatal yoga...amazing! It would seriously give me relief for days at a time.
I never wore maternity jeans and gained about 25 lbs, which seems to be about what will happen for you...it's totally possible to stay in your regular jeans! ;) Shirts, however...not so much. Haha.
