falling into Autumn...

since the leaves are changing and the air is cooling, we decided to pick up some lunch and make a trip up the canyon a few days ago for some fun family time with Dylan and the pups before it gets too chilly and before the leaves all fall away. it was GORGEOUS driving through the canyon. seriously. i was afraid Brett was going to run us off the road because we just couldn't get enough of the beauty. it's amazing how the leaves change every single year. i know i sound like a nerd, but i was just so in awe as we drove up American Fork Canyon and at just how beautiful our planet is, especially at this time of year.
so we found our spot by a creek that was pretty secluded, let the pups run wild, ate lunch and then played in the creek with Dylan, and of course, took a ton of pictures. sorry folks, i guess you should get used to that by now :)

isn't it just breath-taking? oh i just loved it. i wouldn't be surprised it we were back up there tomorrow or Sunday.
but, our trip wasn't all peace, fun and joy. at least not for Dylan. watch the video...it's two minutes, but you have to watch it until the end. is that not the funniest thing ever? oh my gosh he was not happy. but we were dying. we are such nice parents :) and as if that wasn't bad enough, we didn't bring any spare clothes for him. so this is how he looked after we "changed" him...

we had to leave after that since he had no pants but soaked ones, and luckily we found his sweatshirt in the Jeep by just plain luck. it was so funny, and as you can see, he wasn't sad for too long.
