Birthday Fun...

This Birthday was my best birthday yet. Brett is always so good at making this day amazing, and, yet again, he didn't disappoint:)

To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much this birthday because poor Brett has been SUPER sick with an awful viral cold, just coughing every few minutes, sniffling and blowing his nose every other minute, having bad sinus headaches and just feeling horrible. I feel so sad for him. So I was planning on it being just a pretty much ordinary day, except me not going to work and just chilling here (which would be fine with me). Well, Brett made sure that didn't happen:) I woke up and took a nice bath to let Brett sleep as long as possible. When I was done and went downstairs he was cooking up a storm! What a sweet boy:) He made me an amazing breakfast. Then we went and chilled for a bit then Brett had class so he went and I stayed and hung out and watched some TV and had some sweet relaxation time. It was soooooo nice! Then Brett got home and walked in the door with these...

What a sweetheart right?! I was surprised again! He had told me the day before that my present was on it's way in the mail and wasn't here yet...sneaky boy:)

So after he came home we decided to go on a picnic since it was super nice and sunny outside. We loaded up the pups, went and got some yummy sandwiches and cute cupcakes for dessert, and off we went. Well, right as we got all our stuff set up on the grass and had the dogs leashed and tied to a steak, these guys pulled up, literally 30 seconds after we sat down...

Yeah, talk about awesome...Not! And not only did one show up, but two of them, in two separate trucks. You would think our dogs were attacking people or something (there was nobody else at the park at the time). So they show up and give us a bunch of bull-crap on how having dogs in parks in Logan is illegal (I don't know where these guys have been, but we have lived here for 2 years and, as you would know if you have read my blog during summertime, we have taken our dogs to the park like every other day during those two summers and nobody has ever said a peep). But the annoying thing was, they gave us a "ticket" (if you can call it that) for not having our dogs "licensed" with the City of Logan. What a joke! And the icing on the cake (no pun intended) was that this whole lecture and ticketing process took this lady about 45 minutes. Can you say annoying?! So, by the time we got out of there it was like 3:45, our sandwiches were soggy, our drinks were flat, the cupcakes were melting, the dogs were super anxious and it was starting to get a little chilly. Needless to say I was not very happy with the stupid Animal Control. Thanks guys for wishing me a happy 23 with a Ticket, when you could actually be doing some good and saving some animals from abusive owners or whatever you guys do! You guys suck.

So, we ended up just going home because it got pretty chilly, had our picnic in the house and had a good time laughing about what had just happened. Then, it was time to blow out my cake and open my present...

Thank you Temptation Cupcake:)

Brett got me the sweetest and most needed gift of my life right now.... a Gift Certificate for 3 spa treatments at one of the nicest spa's in Logan. I was super surprised!!! What a cutie, now my back can get some much needed relief and my nails can get perdy. Thanks babe.

After presents we decided to go to Walmart to register for Baby Hancock:) That was sooooo much fun! It was fun seeing what types of things we want and all the cute little outfits.

We then took a trip over to Best Buy where Brett said he had another present for me, if I wanted it. I've had my laptop for 3 years and it's going to bust literally any day now...it shuts itself off, the battery cannot last without being plugged in, the keys are falling off the keyboard, it freezes all the time, it has a virus....yeah it's basically shot. So this is what he led me to once we walked in the store...

It was a cute little hp Netbook, that was PINK! Ummm Love! I was super shocked, I didn't even know what to say! I was so happy!!! I didn't know he was saving money out of our paychecks for birthdays, but he was! Sneaky sneaky! He said it was on sale for an amazing price, and it would probably be the last time we could afford one for a while considering the baby and him finishing two more semesters of school and me not working (at least I won't be for a bit). So, I slept on it and Saturday we went and picked it up. I sure do love it:) Thanks babe!!!!

Brett had one more surprise in store for me. There is this restaurant in Logan called Elements. It was built about a year ago and it's gorgeous on the outside and I have wanted to eat there ever since it opened...but it's SUPER nice and pretty pricey so we never have. Every time we drive passed it I just stare at it and wish. Well, we headed off to dinner and we pulled up to this:

Where we ate this...

and this...

and left like this...

The food was amazing and the service was great! It was just as beautiful as I had imagined. They gave me a free dessert (rich chocolate cake, which is not my favorite but it was free so I wasn't complaining) and Brett really enjoyed it. It really was such an amazing day. We went home and cuddled up and watched a couple of movies and turned in. I really could not have asked for a better birthday. I have never had so many surprises before! It was great:)

Brett, thank you so much for really making my Birthday the greatest day ever! You always treat me like a princess, but especially on my birthday you go over the top:) You spoiled me way too much and feel so blessed to have you for eternity. You are so amazing and I have no idea how I am going to top that when yours comes around...maybe, just maybe, you can get your firearm you have been looking at constantly for months now:)
