Memoirs of Summer.....

I am finally getting around to writing again. I might as well have "slacker/lazy/have too much Facebook surfing to do rather than update my blog" written on my forehead. Sorry peeps. I promise to you all I am going to spend less time surfing and more time blogging because I know you are all so into reading about our life:) My sister-in-law Brittany vowed to Blog once a week, and I am going to do the same (or at least try my absolute hardest to keep that promise) so here I go:)

Quite a bit has happened since my last post. We have been going down to visit the fam a lot the last couple of months because of fun vacations with our families, as well as to just play and hang out and go to Brad Paisley and see our friends. It's been so fun...Summertime is the best! Here are some pics to show you the fun we had.....

Brad Paisley Concert!!!! SO AMAZING!!!! He is one of our favorites so it was fun to dance and sing along to some of our favorite love songs:)


We were so sad to see Summer come to an end:( School started and Brett and I are not so into it. I am still working a lot and doing some online classes. Brett has a full load and working. It's a packed schedule but we manage:)To celebrate the last day of "warmth" Brett and I wanted to take Thumper and go on a "last-hoorah" picnic (picnics are a weekly tradition in our household) but when we went to go it was so darn windy we couldn't:( Sad day! So we turned it around and had a picnic inside, right on our living room floor. We set the blanket out and everything. And it helped that our Netflix delivered to us our Full House Season 6 disc as well as our Office Season 5 disc we have been anticipating. So we took some fun pics, ate some Old Grist Mill (the BEST sandwich place ever..cheap too:) and watched Full House and The Office. It was so much fun!!!!!! Here are a couple from the picnic...


Oh yeah...I got bangs. I cut them a week ago because I wanted a change. Not too bad eh?? :)Well, there is my update. I can't wait to blog about General Conference this coming weekend! We absolutely LOVE General Conference!!!! Spending time with the Fam and listening to our amazing Prophet and the Apostles...Amazing! Can't wait! Hope you all enjoyed:) Until next week...

ThE NEwlEyWedS!!!

So, I am totally admitting I have been the Biggest slacker on our Blog. Sorry peeps, that is what comes when you are newly married and have better things to do;) So, now that I have some free time, here is the latest.


Well, we got married! As if you guys didn't know that. But it was definitely the best day of our lives! It just flew by way too fast!!

And the Honeymoon in Orlando was the best getaway ever!




It was wedded bliss from the beginning. Now, we are living up in Logan in a 600 sq ft apartment and absolutely LOVING it!!!! I was working at Convergys for a while, and Brett is working at iboats still. I hated Convergys from the moment I started so the hunt was on for a new job. Now I am the newest memeber of the Pier 49 Pizza family. Trust me, this job sounds like a pot of gold compared to the crap hole Convergys was. I am in heaven. I start on Saturday. I am so excited. The hours are better, Sundays off, and a fun crew to work with and an amazing boss. I have forgotten what is was like to actually like work. So I am pleased and cannot wait to begin. Life is great, we love being married and love everything life has brought us so far and have never been happier!!!

He loves lounging around in his cage and chillin. Also loves hoppin around the kitchen to play and lay by the cupboards. We decided to get him because both wanted a pet. And since our Landlord doesn't even allow fish, we figured we could hide a bunny quite well. And we have done a great job so far. He is quiet and loves to hop around when we take him out. He is also a cuddler which I love. He is only 9 weeks old so he is fun to play with. We love him so much and are so glad we got him.

EaSTeR WeEkeNd & BiRthdAY PArTiEs!!

This past weekend was a BlaST!!!!! First of all, I have been stressing about getting my engagement pics done for like 2 weeks, about what to wear, how to do my hair, the weather etc! Then....the day came (Saturday) and it was supposed to POUR rain all day! I was stressing big time! So we get downtown lookin good and ready to take pics, we pull up to our photographer and it starts pouring rain! So we decided to wait a couple minutes to see if it stopped, and, surprisingly enough, IT DID! We got the photo shoot done and, I am not kidding, 30 seconds after we got done shooting it started POURING again!!! Prayers are ANSWERED!!! It was such a small miracle, but it meant everything to me because those were so stressful and coming down from Logan all the time is stressful. So it was amazing! And the shoot was so fun! We should be getting the photo's back this week and I AM SO EXCITED! Our faves will be posted as soon as we get them, we haven't even seen them yet.











Here are some pics from this weekend......it was Easter and my mom was ADORABLE and had the Easter Bunny come for all us kids, but I got the biggest basket cause I still live at home. It was a good last Easter home with my AMAZING mom:) It is also mine, my brother Steve and my sister-in-law's birthday's all this week so we had our family party for it! We dyed Eggs and had cake and ice cream and talked and laughed the night away! It was a blast!!! I absolutely LOVE being with the fam, it is my absolute favorite thing! My mom did a great job throwing an amazing party and keepin us all full of good food and making fun memories together! I miss her so much up here in Logan, she is the BEST!

OuR FiRSt PoSt....

Hello Everyone! So we finally broke down and got a blog after much thought and tribulation.....okay not really. I was just bored and it sounded fun:) But this is very exciting! I love looking at my friend's and families blogs and seeing how much fun everyone is having and what is going on in everyone's lives, so we figured we wanted to join the cool kids! We are new at this so it's going to take some getting used to, but I can't wait to get started!

So, first things first. Brett and I are engaged and are getting married in 6 weeks! Here are a few pics for those of you who care to see some of the engagement/ my ring.Brett was so cute when he asked...he took me to the Logan temple and I had no idea it was coming. We went there to "take pictures" and when we got there the camera didn't work...Brett was fuming. I had no idea why. He ran to get some batteries and came back and we started taking pictures on the timer, then he set the camera down and acted like we were going to take another one, but instead had it on video, and before I knew it he was on one knee. I was completely speechless. It was so adorable! I love him with all my heart. The pics posted are of that day, the one above is when he got the camera to work and he was gearing up to pop the question...the one below is the ring (which I love more than I should probably) and the one below is after he asked.


Ah! Time flies. And that means school is almost done too which we cannot wait for! All the wedding planning is pretty much done! So nice! So all the worry now is about school and finding jobs here in Logan which has been a nightmare! But with fasting and prayer I know it will happen. Speaking of religious things...General Conference is this weekend! Cannot wait! I look forward to it every 6 months! I can't wait to post about the weekend with the fam and the adventures and the talks given! Well, the first post is done and I am glad I got started! It took forever to get this blog how I wanted it so I can't wait to post again! Until next time...:)
