happy happy birthday...

so my birthday was on Sunday, and since Sunday birthdays are lame, we decided way ahead of time we would pretend that Saturday was my birthday. Brett surprised me with breakfast in bed, which was shocking considering that i usually wake up to any sound in the house, but not Saturday. it was such a cute surprise. and he made my favorite, french toast and bacon on the side.
then after breakfast he told me he wanted me to open presents now instead of waiting until that night. i asked him to bring them to me because the bed was so warm, but he kept pushing me to go downstairs. i didn't understand why until i got to the living room and saw this:

it was such a surprise! i knew he had gotten to bed late the night before, like 3am late, but that's nothing new on a weekend night because he ususally gets on his xbox and plays call of duty with all his buddies. but he told me he was up until 3 decorating and blowing up balloons (seriously there are triple of what you can see in the first picture, i just didn't get them all). what a sweetie right?! it was so thoughtful and i appreciated it so much!
then i opened presents and man, i got spoiled. he gave me a tommy hilfiger robe (i've wanted a bath robe forever), a super cute shirt and undershirt and some jewelry from Vanity, a huge perfume set from Macys (Villain by Ed Hardy...it's amazing!), a jewelry hanger for my jewelry, a very sweet card that made me tear up (cards are my fave!!) and last but not least, a Michael Kors bracelet that is gorgeous! i got soooo spoiled! i seriously didn't deserve it but was so grateful for all the thought my man put into my birthday! he guessed on everything since i didn't tell him one thing i wanted, i just wanted him to choose, and he did awesome!

after presents, we decided to go to City Creek and go shopping and have lunch. City Creek is gorgeous and all, and it was my first time there, but it's going to be my last for a while. it was so jam packed that every store we went in i automatically just left because it was so crowded in each one. we stopped by Michael Kors and i got a ring from the same collection as my bracelet i had gotten earlier. i think i'm going to have to stay away from that store, i am getting a little obsessed with it. anywho, despite the crowds we had a fabulous time.
then Dylan was tired and so were we so we went home and took a quick nap then went to Market Street Grill for dinner. YUM! i had never been there before but had always wanted to try, and oh my gosh! loved it! we definitely won't be going there very often because it was insanely expensive, but oh my! so yummy!
then after dinner we decided we were pretty worn out and just wanted to stay in, so we rented a movie and made a bed in the living room, cuddled up and snuggled the rest of the night. (sorry these are blurry, they were taken on my phone)

Sunday, my real birthday, we hung out and later in the day decided to go to Wheeler Farm and walk around with Dylan since it was nice weather (the weather on my birthday was freezing and rainy all day). Dylan just loved it, and so did we! it was so nice to be outside and just be with my little family. then later that night we did cake and hung out.

it was a low-key but fabulous and best birthday i've had yet! seriously, it couldn't have been better! i have the sweetest husband who put so much effort and thought into making my day special and he totally outdid himself! thank you sweetheart! you are one amazing guy and i'm so lucky to call you mine :)
