4 More Days...

In 4 days we are going to be enjoying a work-free SUMMER!!!!! Brett's last day of work is later this week, and my last day of work is next Tuesday and I must say, it's a bitter-sweet thing. I am so sick of the work that I do, but I heart the girls that I work with so so much! We have already made pacts to have lunch dates, dinner dates, shopping trips, Bachelorette Monday nights and hanging out, but I am still sad that I won't see them every day. It's just so nice to have that girl time everyday and I will miss it tremendously.

But...on the other hand, I will have nothing to do all day for the next 4 weeks then to get ready for our little guy to get here! There is so much to do I cannot even believe it. We will be super busy, but I can't wait to spend all my free time with my best friend. It's going to be so nice waking up when I want, wearing sweats because jeans and work pants are so uncomfortable now, and doing all the things we have planned. Some of those things are:

  • Buying EVERYTHING we need for Baby and setting it all up in our second bedroom (aka Nursery)
  • Deep cleaning our house to get it Baby-ready
  • Redoing our bedroom set (I want to repaint the bed and the dresser Black, it will look so much better)
  • Clean out my closet/reorganize our room
  • Doing crafts I have been putting off because of work
  • Going to the Temple a couple of times a week
  • Playing with our friends
  • Going on lots of Summer Walks and Picnics
  • Going to parenting classes
  • Read lots of parenting books
  • Doctor's appointments once a week
  • Getting Massages
  • Hanging out and have fun doing nothing
  • Play with the Baby when he comes (and try not to go nuts in the process:)
  • Brett will have class a couple of hours in the day and homework, but other than that it will be family time and play time (and recovery time for me)
  • Workout and get the baby-weight off
  • Tanning
  • Enjoying Summer:) I have missed it so.

See, I will be so busy I probably won't even miss work. It's going to be great:) Summer is going to be AMAZING! I am so grateful Brett and I are so blessed to be able to both be home with the Baby this entire summer (except for when he goes to class). We are enormously blessed and we know it and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he is giving us both the time we will both need to get used to being parents, without the stress of working. I just cannot wait:) His due date is in 5 weeks, and with every passing week my hands and feet get bigger and bigger, and my back gets worse and worse. But it makes it all worth it when we hear his heartbeat at the Doctor's office, or when he kicks me (which is every few minutes) or when Brett talks to him at night. I love him SO much already, I can't imagine loving him more but I know that when we see this little guy, the love we will have for him will be so much more than we ever thought we could feel.

I.Cant.Wait.
